Through the Majette Foundation’s Entrepreneurial Program, Jamal received personalized mentorship, a business plan framework, and access to micro-grants. Today, his bakery is not only thriving but also employing others in his community, spreading the ripple effect of empowerment.

For too long, systemic barriers have hindered the ability of Black communities to build and pass on wealth. Our Generational Wealth Initiative aims to change that. From financial literacy workshops to investment boot camps, we’re teaching families how to save, invest, and secure brighter futures. Families like the Carters, who once struggled with managing debt, now have a plan to leave a financial legacy for their children.

When emergencies strike, the Majette Foundation stands ready to help. Whether it’s a natural disaster or an unexpected family crisis, our Emergency Relief Fund provides immediate support. Recently, when Hurricane Maxwell devastated neighborhoods, our team delivered essentials, financial aid, and hope to hundreds of affected families.

At the heart of everything we do is our food pantry, a beacon for those facing food insecurity. Every week, we serve thousands of meals to families who would otherwise go hungry. For Ms. Olivia, a retired teacher, the pantry is more than a place to get food; it’s a community that reminds her she’s not alone.
